Seeking a senior communications specialist to develop strategic content and manage high-level external communications for a federal agency.

- *Key Responsibilities:**
- Write, edit, and publish a variety of complex materials, including reports, articles, speeches, and brochures, for media and high-level officials.
- Ensure all communications align with organizational policies, objectives, and are based on supported information.
- Utilize knowledge of graphics and effective visual communication to enhance document presentation.
- Verify documents for coverage, balance, expression, and adherence to objectives.
- Collaborate with federal, private, academic, Congressional, and business communities.
- *Required Qualifications & Experience:**
- **Specialized Experience:** A minimum of one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level (or next lower grade in federal service) performing duties related to complex writing, editing, and strategic communication as described above.
- **Resume Clarity:** Your resume must explicitly demonstrate how you meet the specialized experience requirements.
- *Additional Requirements:**
- **U.S. Residency:** Must have physically resided in the United States or its protectorates for at least three of the last five years. (Exceptions may apply for specific government-related overseas work).
- **Background Investigation:** Successful completion of a thorough background investigation by U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), including screening for felony convictions and illegal drug use, is mandatory.
- **Federal Applicants:** Meet all applicable Time in Grade requirements (52 weeks at next lower grade) by 11/25/2025. Disclosure required for current or former political appointees.
