Aviation Safety Inspector (Operations), Aircrew Program Manager (Apm)- Flight Program

Join our team as an Aviation Safety Inspector (Operations) to ensure the highest standards of safety and compliance in general aviation. This role involves critical oversight, investigation, and certification duties for air carriers.

• *Key Responsibilities:**
• Conduct certification, surveillance, and investigation of operational activities for FAR Part 135 air carriers/operators.
• Ensure compliance with Federal Aviation Regulations.
• Recommend actions to uphold and improve aviation safety standards.
• *Minimum Requirements:**
• *General:**
• Valid State Driver's License.
• Fluency in English.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• No more than two FAA regulation violations in the last 5 years.
• No chemical dependencies or drug abuse impacting job performance.
• *Medical:**
• Physically able to perform duties safely and efficiently.
• Good distant vision (correctable) and ability to read fine print.
• Ability to hear conversational voice (hearing aid permitted).
• No physical conditions that would pose a hazard or interfere with flying as a passenger.
• **For roles requiring aircraft operation:** Possess a valid Second-Class FAA Medical Certificate and pass recurrent medical examinations.
• *Flight & Specialized Experience (for Operations Inspectors - General Aviation):**
• **Flight Certificates & Ratings:**

* Valid, unexpired Flight Instructor Certificate with single and multi-engine airplane and instrument airplane ratings. * Possess an Airline Transport Pilot Certificate or Commercial Pilot Certificate with instrument airplane rating. * Possess single and multi-engine land airplane ratings.

• **Flight Hours:**

* Minimum 1,500 total flight hours. * Minimum 100 flight hours within the last 3 years. * Minimum 200 hours of flight instruction given in an aircraft.

• **Flight Record:**

* Demonstrated professional flying skill (equivalent to Commercial Pilot Certificate with instrument rating). * Not more than 2 flying accidents in the last 5 years involving pilot error.

• **Specialized Experience:** At least one year of experience equivalent to the FV-I/FG-13 level, specifically assisting, conducting, or performing technical functions related to certification, surveillance, investigation, and compliance for FAR Part 135 air carriers/operators. (Recency waived for current FAA 1825 series employees).
