## Telecommunications Specialist (GS-13)

Join our team as a Telecommunications Specialist, with a starting salary of $120,579.00. We are seeking a qualified professional to manage and enhance our agency's communication systems.

### Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, manage, and monitor complex wireless and radio telecommunications systems.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and agency policies.
  • Analyze telecommunications policies and procedures to recommend system-wide improvements.
  • Conduct research on communication network systems to develop strategic solutions and provide expert advice.
### Required Qualifications:

#### Basic Requirements (Choose one):

  • **Education:** A Bachelor's or graduate degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, Telecommunications Management, Information Systems Management, Business Administration, Industrial Management, or a closely related field.
  • **or Technical Training:** Advanced communications/electronics or automatic data processing training from a technical institute, business school, or Armed Forces school (above high school level).
  • **or Experience:** Demonstrated experience evaluating, analyzing, developing, managing, or improving communications systems, showcasing knowledge of current concepts and technology.
#### Minimum Qualifications for GS-13:
  • One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level. This experience must include:
* Applying broad communications network design and application concepts to develop and manage multifaceted wireless/radio telecommunications systems. * Ensuring compliance with telecommunications standards and agency policies. * Analyzing telecommunications policies and procedures to make agency-wide recommendations. * Researching communication network systems to devise solutions and provide strategic advice.
