Summary

Seeking an Engineer specializing in Test and Evaluation to lead system performance assessment and advance T&E practices.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Engineer specializing in Test and Evaluation (T&E) to join our team. This role involves ensuring the rigorous evaluation of system performance and enhancing our agency's T&E practices.

  • *Key Responsibilities:**
  • *For GS-13 Level:**
  • Apply Test and Evaluation best practices within systems engineering.
  • Interpret and implement T&E policies and processes for systems engineering and acquisitions.
  • Define performance measures and conduct data analysis for test campaigns.
  • Plan and support on-site test execution, coordinating with diverse stakeholders.
  • Develop recommendations from analysis for briefings and reports to senior leadership.
  • *For GS-14 Level (in addition to GS-13 duties):**
  • Develop and implement new T&E methods, representing the agency at relevant events.
  • Create new T&E policies/procedures and mentor colleagues on implementation.
  • Lead the development of comprehensive evaluation frameworks for system performance.
  • Direct multi-stakeholder teams through planning and on-site test execution.
  • Present critical findings and recommendations based on data analysis to senior leadership.
  • *Qualifications:**
  • *Basic Requirement:** You must meet **one** of the following:
  • **A. Degree in Engineering:** A bachelor's degree from an ABET-accredited engineering program, or a program including specific calculus and advanced engineering science/physics courses.
  • **B

    Combination of Education and Experience:** College-level education and/or technical experience demonstrating a strong foundation in physical, mathematical, and engineering sciences, evidenced by one of the following:

* Professional Engineer (PE), Engineer Intern (EI), or Engineer in Training (EIT) registration/licensure. * Successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) examination. * At least 60 semester hours in physical, mathematical, and engineering sciences (as defined in A). * A bachelor's degree in a related scientific field (e.g., engineering technology, physics, computer science) plus 1 year of professional engineering experience under supervision.

  • *Specialized Experience:**
  • **GS-13:** One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level, performing duties as outlined above.
  • **GS-14:** One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level, performing duties as outlined above.
