
Supervisory Quality Assurance Specialist
Job Description
Summary
Ensure quality and compliance of products/services, evaluating service provider performance and recommending payment decisions.
We are seeking a highly experienced Quality Assurance professional to ensure the quality and compliance of products and services, with a significant focus on evaluating service provider performance and contract adherence.
- *Key Responsibilities:**
- Evaluate the technical quality and acceptability of work performed by service providers.
- Monitor and ensure work progress aligns with contractual agreements and financial requests.
- Document instances of service provider non-compliance with contractual provisions.
- Validate contractual services rendered to facilitate accurate payment processing.
- Provide expert recommendations on payment/non-payment decisions to the Contracting Officer.
- Review production activities, capabilities, and quality/inspection procedures for effectiveness.
- Analyze quality data to identify unsatisfactory trends or weaknesses in quality systems.
- Verify product compliance through rigorous testing and inspection techniques.
- Identify inadequacies, request corrective actions, and prepare detailed statistical reports.
- Investigate customer complaints and deficiency reports to determine root causes.
- Interpret and apply complex technical data, including blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications.
- Conduct periodic audits and surveillance inspections of supply systems operations.
- *Qualifications:**
- *Education:**
- Bachelor's or Graduate degree in Quality Assurance, Statistics, Mathematics, Production Management, Industrial Management, Computer Science, Engineering, Physical Sciences, Textiles, or a closely related field.
- *Experience (Demonstrating immediate success in Quality Assurance):**
- **GS-13 Level:** One year of specialized experience (Federal or private sector equivalent to GS-13) demonstrating the ability to:
- **Specialized Experience (Above GS-5):** Practical knowledge in monitoring, controlling, or maintaining quality of products/services within quality assurance, procurement, inspection, or production areas.
- **General Experience (GS-5):** Familiarity with quality assurance or related work, pertinent product/process knowledge, ability to interpret and apply contract requirements and engineering specifications, and strong interpersonal skills.
