Summary
Lead complex federal programs, providing strategic oversight, technical direction, and high-level liaison within a government agency.
This GS-14 position requires an experienced professional to lead and manage significant programs within a federal agency, ensuring timely execution and effectiveness.
- *Key Responsibilities:**
- Oversee program planning, direction, and timely execution for multiple program segments.
- Provide expert technical direction in project management, team building, process improvement, and business case development.
- Develop and implement performance evaluation measures, recommending program improvements.
- Serve as a key liaison with high-ranking federal officials, agency management, and governing bodies.
- Monitor program accomplishments, identifying trends, issues, and successes.
- Evaluate organizational effectiveness in achieving mission goals.
- *Qualifications & Experience:**
- **Experience:** One year of specialized experience at the GS-13 federal level (or equivalent) is required. This experience must include extensive program oversight, technical project leadership, performance evaluation, and high-level liaison duties. All qualifying experience, including volunteer work, is credited.
- **Federal Employees:** Must meet Time in Grade requirements (52 weeks at the GS-13 equivalent).
- *Additional Requirements:**
- **Background Investigation:** Successful completion of a thorough background investigation is mandatory, common for federal law enforcement agencies (CBP). This includes questions on felony convictions and illegal drug use.
- **Residency:** Must have physically resided in the U.S. or its protectorates for at least three of the last five years. Exceptions may apply for those working for the U.S. government, military dependents, study abroad, or U.S. government support roles.
- **Probationary Period:** New federal employees must serve a one-year probationary period.
