Summary
Manage Border Patrol facility programs, analyze legislation, allocate resources, and oversee staff development.
U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) is seeking a skilled professional to manage and oversee critical programs for U.S. Border Patrol (USBP) facility operations. This role involves strategic planning, policy analysis, resource allocation, and team development within a federal law enforcement environment.
- *Key Responsibilities:**
- Evaluate new legislation and its projected impact on USBP facility programs.
- Oversee program progress, aligning with long-range plans.
- Determine and adjust staffing, funding, and resource allocations.
- Identify employee developmental needs and provide formal or on-the-job training.
- Report unexpected requirements and recommend workflow/schedule adjustments.
- Identify and implement changes in program priorities.
- *Qualifications & Requirements:**
- **Experience:** One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level, performing duties similar to those listed above. Volunteer experience is credited.
- **Federal Employees:** Must meet Time in Grade requirements (52 weeks at the next lower grade or equivalent) by 09/23/2025.

- *Additional Requirements:**
- **Background Investigation:** All applicants must successfully undergo a thorough background investigation by this federal law enforcement agency.
- **Residency:** Must have physically resided in the U.S. or its protectorates for at least three of the last five years. Exceptions may apply for U.S. government service, dependents, study abroad, or U.S. government contractor/volunteer work.
- **Probationary Period:** New federal employees will serve a one-year probationary period.
- **Political Appointee Disclosure:** Current or former political appointees must disclose this information.
