Lead strategic facilities programs, manage operations, and supervise a multidisciplinary team for U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP).

  • *Key Responsibilities:**
  • Lead strategic facilities programs: develop operational requirements, review designs, and provide construction/project liaison for a nationwide portfolio.
  • Manage planning and budget controls, monitor progress, identify bottlenecks, and recommend resource adjustments.
  • Serve as principal liaison to operational tenants and service providers, negotiating recommendations affecting substantial resources.
  • Supervise a multidisciplinary branch: assign work, set priorities, manage performance, oversee staffing, and enforce security/safety directives.
  • *Requirements:**
  • **Experience:** One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 federal grade level, performing duties similar to those described.
  • **Background Investigation:** Must successfully pass a thorough background investigation (covering felony convictions, illegal drug use).
  • **Residency:** Physically resided in the U.S. or its protectorates for at least three of the last five years. (Exceptions for U.S. government service or study abroad may apply.)
  • **Probationary Period:** New federal employees serve a one-year probationary period.
  • **Federal Employees:** Must meet all Time in Grade requirements (52 weeks at the next lower grade).
