Job Description
Summary
Manage and improve federal programs at a GS-14 level, requiring specialized experience, Secret clearance, and a background investigation.
This GS-14 level position involves critical program management, policy development, and operational improvement within a federal agency.
- *Key Responsibilities:**
- Review long-range plans to assess adequacy, timeliness, and identify program bottlenecks.
- Provide technical assistance and direct support for programs such as FOIA, Staffing, Budget, and Policy.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with agency guidance.
- Recommend operational changes and improvements to achieve program objectives.
- *Minimum Requirements:**
- **Experience:** One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level. This includes duties like reviewing plans, providing technical support, developing policies, and recommending improvements. Your resume must explicitly detail how you meet this.
- **Federal Employees:** Must have served 52 weeks at the GS-13 level (or equivalent) by 11/07/2025.
- **Security Clearance:** Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
- **Background Investigation:** Successful completion of a thorough background investigation. This includes inquiries into felony convictions, drug use, and non-prescribed controlled substances.
- **Residency:** Must have physically resided in the U.S. or its protectorates for at least three of the last five years. (Exceptions for U.S. government/military service apply.)
- *Additional Information:**
- **Volunteer Experience:** Qualifying paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work, will be credited.
- **Probationary Period:** New federal employees will serve a one-year probationary period.
