Seeking a skilled GS-14 IT Specialist to lead cybersecurity, mentor staff, and provide technical network direction.
We are seeking a highly qualified IT Specialist at the GS-14 level to lead cybersecurity initiatives and provide technical direction. **Key Responsibilities & Qualifications:** **Basic Competencies (Required):** * **Attention to Detail:** Ensure IT programs comply with cybersecurity policies and standards. * **Customer Service:** Interpret IT security guidelines to meet customer needs effectively. * **Oral Communication:** Clearly communicate organizational security policies and procedures to stakeholders. * **Problem Solving:** Develop and implement solutions for complex cybersecurity issues to achieve short and long-term goals. **Specialized Experience (GS-14 Level):** Applicants must possess one year of experience equivalent to the GS-13 level, including duties such as: * Mentoring IT subject matter experts (SMEs) through research and developmental initiatives. * Providing technical direction and oversight for various data networks. * Preparing justifications and evaluation criteria for procurement contracts. * Monitoring and analyzing technology trends to align with strategic business objectives and customer requirements. **Salary:** * Starting at $142,488.00 (GS-14 level). **Important Notes for Federal Applicants:** * Current or former federal employees must meet Time-in-Grade requirements (52 weeks at the next lower grade). * Proof of status and time-in-grade eligibility (e.g., SF-50) is required.
