Supervisory IT Specialist (Chief, Cloud Engineering Section)

Join our team as an IT Specialist, driving critical cloud transformation and engineering initiatives. We are seeking an experienced professional to lead, manage, and optimize our enterprise cloud infrastructure and services.

• *Key Responsibilities:**
• Lead and oversee enterprise-level cloud transformation initiatives, migrating legacy IT systems to secure, scalable cloud platforms.
• Direct cross-functional engineering teams through the planning, design, configuration, and implementation phases of cloud modernization.
• Develop and manage comprehensive cloud-based programs, overseeing the design, deployment, and integration of enterprise cloud services (e.g., virtual environments, cloud-native applications, distributed storage).
• Establish and enforce cloud governance processes, ensuring compliance with standards such as FISMA and NIST through risk assessments and secure solution adoption.
• Lead and provide technical direction and supervisory oversight to cloud engineering teams.
• Oversee the deployment, optimization, and maintenance of cloud-based servers, storage, and networking components, ensuring efficiency, reliability, and security.
• Guide engineers through complex troubleshooting, system upgrades, performance optimization, and strategic resource allocation.
• *Qualifications:**
• **IT Experience:** Demonstrated IT-related experience across the following four competencies:

* Attention to Detail: Thoroughness and conscientiousness in work. * Customer Service: Ability to assess needs, provide information, resolve problems, and deliver quality service. * Oral Communication: Effective verbal expression, presentation, and active listening. * Problem Solving: Skill in identifying issues, evaluating information, generating alternatives, and making sound recommendations.

• **Specialized Experience:** Minimum of one year of specialized experience at the next lower grade level, typically in the IT field, encompassing:

* Proven ability to lead enterprise-level cloud transformation and migration projects. * Experience in developing and managing cloud programs, including architecture, deployment, and integration of diverse cloud services. * Demonstrated experience leading cloud engineering teams with technical and supervisory oversight, focusing on infrastructure optimization and maintenance.
