## Supervisory Polygraph Examiner (GS-15)

Join our federal law enforcement agency to direct and manage a critical, department-wide polygraph examination program.

### Key Responsibilities:

• Direct, implement, coordinate, and oversee polygraph examination programs.
• Evaluate program effectiveness and efficiency to achieve organizational goals.
• Lead and oversee polygraph policy and program initiatives.
• Utilize analytical methods to assess and improve program operations.

### Qualifications:

• *1. NCCA Certification & Eligibility:**
• **Certified:** Must be currently certified by the National Center for Credibility Assessment (NCCA) through the Basic Federal Polygraph Training Program (or prior official designation).
• **Eligible for Training:** If not certified, you must meet NCCA basic requirements to attend training:

* Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university. * At least two years of investigative experience with a recognized U.S. Government agency or other law enforcement agency. * Successful completion of a Psychophysiological Detection of Deception (PDD) polygraph examination. * Be at least 25 years of age.

• *2. Specialized Experience (GS-15):**
• One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 level, performing duties such as:

* Directing, implementing, coordinating, and overseeing a department-wide polygraph examination program. * Evaluating the effectiveness and efficiency of major polygraph examinations. * Overseeing policy and program initiatives. * Evaluating and analyzing programs using analytical methods for operational improvement.

### Additional Requirements:

• **Background Investigation:** Applicants must undergo a thorough background investigation.
• **Polygraph Examination:** This is a polygraph-required position. Non-CBP employees may be required to take a polygraph exam; reciprocity or waiver options may be available for qualified candidates.
• **Residency:** For non-CBP employees, you must have physically resided in the U.S. or its protectorates for at least three of the last five years (exceptions may apply for U.S. Government service abroad).
• **Probationary Period:** New federal employees will serve a one-year probationary period.
