Job Description

Summary

Federal HR Specialist sought for staffing, recruitment, and merit promotion in a correctional environment, applying federal regulations.

This position requires a minimum of one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower federal grade level. Education cannot substitute for this experience.

  • *Key Experience & Knowledge Required:**
  • Proficient knowledge and application of staffing, recruitment, and merit promotion principles.
  • In-depth understanding of federal HR regulations, including:
* Title 5, United States Code * 5 CFR * Office of Personnel Management (OPM) regulations * Department of Justice (DOJ) Orders dealing with personnel management * Comptroller General’s Civilian Personnel Law Manual * National Finance Center (NFC) manuals for personnel and payroll processing systems * Federal Bureau of Prisons (FBOP) Human Resource Management Manual
  • Experience developing HR policy, providing expert advice in a correctional specialty, or offering guidance/evaluation for correctional programs.
