Summary
Lead federal engineering initiatives as a GS-14 Engineer, providing technical and administrative direction with specialized experience.
This leadership role requires a highly qualified engineer to provide technical and administrative direction within a federal service program.
- *Key Responsibilities (GS-14 Level):**
- Provide technical and administrative guidance to subordinate employees.
- Advise staff on policies, procedures, and directives.
- Evaluate employee development needs and approve non-routine, costly, or controversial training requests.
- *Basic Requirements:**
Applicants must meet one of the following:
- **A. Education:** A Bachelor's degree in Engineering from a school with at least one ABET-accredited program, or a degree including specific differential and integral calculus and advanced courses in at least five core engineering science or physics areas.
- **B
Combination of Education & Experience:** College-level education, training, and/or technical experience demonstrating thorough knowledge of fundamental engineering sciences and practical application. This must be demonstrated by one of the following:
- *Specialized Experience (GS-14):**
- One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level in the Federal service (or comparable in the private sector) demonstrating the ability to provide technical and administrative direction, advise staff on policies, and review/approve complex employee training needs.
