Summary
Lead advanced operations research, leveraging mathematical modeling and AI for critical decision-making in a federal agency.
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead complex operations research analyses, applying advanced mathematical and statistical techniques. This role involves significant contributions to scientific inquiry, data analysis, and strategic decision-making within a federal agency.
- *Key Responsibilities:**
- Oversee a diverse range of operations research analyses, employing innovative techniques, advanced approaches, and new technologies.
- Lead scientific inquiry in the independent development of mathematical and statistical programs to evaluate and predict project capabilities and outcomes.
- Manage critical aspects of the design and development of information, analytical studies, and national data inquiries.
- Create sophisticated mathematical and statistical models to guide budgetary decision-making processes.
- Conduct high-level briefings for stakeholders and leverage Artificial Intelligence (AI) to enhance analytical capabilities.
- *Qualifications:**
- *Education:**
- A. Bachelor's degree or higher in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Data Science, or a directly related field. or
- B. A combination of education (30 semester hours in the fields listed above) and relevant professional experience.
- *Experience (GS-14 Level):**
- One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level, demonstrating proficiency in:
- *Additional Requirements:**
- **U.S. Citizenship:** Required.
- **Background Investigation:** Successful completion of a thorough background investigation is mandatory.
- **Residency:** Must have physically resided in the U.S. or its protectorates for at least three of the last five years. Exceptions may apply for U.S. government service.
- **Probationary Period:** A one-year probationary period is required for all new federal government employees.
