Summary
Lead federal procurement programs, direct contractual strategy, and oversee staff in a senior GS-15 contracting role.
Join our team as a senior contracting professional, responsible for overseeing complex procurement programs and leading a dedicated team. This role offers the opportunity to shape contractual strategies and ensure efficient acquisition processes within a federal agency.
- *Key Responsibilities:**
- Implement, manage, and evaluate comprehensive procurement programs.
- Plan, develop, and establish contractual strategies, including policy preparation and review.
- Monitor and direct all contract administration actions for acquisition programs.
- Direct, coordinate, and oversee the work of subordinate contracting staff.
- *Qualifications:**
- *Basic Eligibility (Must meet one of the following):**
- **A.** Completion of all mandatory training for GS-13+ contracting positions, PLUS at least 4 years of contracting experience (including 1 year specialized experience at the GS-14 level).
- **B.** A 4-year Bachelor's degree that includes or is supplemented by at least 24 semester hours in fields such as accounting, business, finance, law, contracts, purchasing, economics, industrial management, marketing, quantitative methods, or organization and management.
- *Specialized Experience (Required for GS-15):**
- One year of experience equivalent to the GS-14 level, performing duties such as:
- *Additional Requirements:**
- **Background Investigation:** Successful completion of a thorough background investigation by U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP).
- **Residency:** Must have physically resided in the United States or its protectorates for at least three of the last five years (exceptions may apply).
- **Probationary Period:** New federal employees will serve a one-year probationary period.

- Volunteer experience that builds relevant competencies counts towards qualifications.
- All qualifications must be met by November 17, 2025.
