## Supervisory CBP Officer (Field Programs) - Secondary SRC
- *Overview:**
- *Key Responsibilities:**
- **Program Analysis & Evaluation:** Conduct systems analysis, statistical sampling, and management reviews to assess program goals, effectiveness, and cost-benefit ratios.
- **Liaison & Coordination:** Serve as a primary liaison with other federal agencies, DHS, and CBP managers to ensure cohesive operations.
- **Policy & Compliance:** Champion management accountability and operational integrity, ensuring strict policy compliance for border security initiatives.
- **Operational Oversight:** Manage and coordinate the identification, targeting, control, and examination processes for passengers and cargo departing the United States.
- **Policy Development:** Direct a segment of a highly technical Office of Field Operations (OFO) program, contributing to significant CBP and OFO regulatory and policy advancements.
- *Required Qualifications & Experience:**
- **Specialized Experience:** Minimum of one year of specialized experience at a level equivalent to the next lower grade, performing duties directly related to the responsibilities listed above. Volunteer experience is accepted and valued. Your resume must explicitly detail how you meet this requirement.
- **Prior Federal Service (Mandatory Secondary SRC):**
- **Time-in-Grade:** Current federal employees must have completed 52 weeks at the next lower grade level or an equivalent grade band by the specified deadline.
- *Additional Requirements:**
- **Background Investigation:** Successful completion of a thorough background investigation is mandatory for this federal law enforcement position.
- **Polygraph Examination:** This is a polygraph-required position. Non-CBP federal law enforcement employees may need to take and pass a polygraph exam. Polygraph reciprocity or waivers for qualifying veterans may be considered.
- **Physical/Medical Screening:** Candidates must successfully complete a medical screening process to ensure physical and medical capability for essential job functions.
- **Residency:** Applicants not currently employed by CBP must have physically resided in the U.S. or its protectorates for at least three of the last five years. Exceptions may apply for U.S. government employment or study abroad.
- **Probationary Period:** Current and former federal employees may be required to serve or complete a probationary period.
- **Political Appointee Disclosure:** Disclosure required for current or former political appointees within the last 5 years.
