Job Description
Summary
Lead and manage operational programs for CBP as a GS-14, requiring specialized LEO experience and Top-Secret-SCI clearance.
The U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) is seeking a highly qualified professional for a GS-14 level position.
- *Responsibilities:**
- Develop, manage, and direct operational policies and programs.
- Identify and resolve issues related to program operations.
- Direct workloads and supervisors to ensure program success.
- Evaluate program performance and recommend improvements.
- *Requirements:**
- **Experience:** One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level, performing duties as outlined above. Paid and unpaid (volunteer) experience is considered.
- **Mandatory Prerequisite:** This is an Administrative Secondary Law Enforcement Officer (LEO) position. Requires prior primary/rigorous LEO or equivalent non-federal experience, unless currently serving in a permanent Secondary LEO role.
- **Background & Clearance:** Must successfully complete a thorough background investigation and obtain/maintain a Top-Secret-SCI security clearance.
- **Polygraph:** May be required to take a polygraph examination (unless a current CBP law enforcement employee).
- **Medical & Fitness:** Pass a medical screening and a pre-employment physical fitness test.
- **Residency:** Physically resided in the U.S. or its protectorates for at least 3 of the last 5 years (waiver options available).
- **Probationary Period:** May be required to serve or complete a probationary period.
