Summary

Seeking a GS-14 Financial Management Specialist to analyze data, manage budgets, and provide expert financial advice to senior leadership.

We are seeking a highly skilled financial professional to join our team at the GS-14 grade level. This role involves advanced financial analysis, budget management, and strategic financial advice to senior leadership.

  • *Key Responsibilities:**
  • Research and analyze financial and non-financial data, developing solutions and recommendations.
  • Manage budget formulation and justification, serving as a technical authority on long-range funding for major programs.
  • Formulate budgetary allocation and control procedures, including recommending appropriation language changes.
  • Draft analyses evaluating the budgetary impact of new legislation, policies, and program requirements.
  • Provide expert advice and recommendations to senior leadership on financial management, budget, accounting, and financial systems.
  • *Qualifications & Requirements:**
  • **Experience:** One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level, performing duties as outlined above.
  • **Federal Employees:** Must meet Time in Grade requirements (52 weeks at next lower grade or equivalent) by 10/28/2025.
  • **Resume:** Explicitly detail how your experience meets requirements. Resumes are limited to two pages.
  • **Background Investigation:** Successful completion of a thorough background investigation (U.S. Customs and Border Protection is a federal law enforcement agency).
  • **Residency:** Must have physically resided in the U.S. or its protectorates for at least three of the last five years, with potential waivers for specific circumstances (e.g., U.S. government employment).
  • **Probationary Period:** New federal employees will serve a one-year probationary period.
  • **CTAP/ICTAP Eligibles:** Must achieve a minimum score of 85.
