Summary
Seeking a strategic Communications Specialist to develop, implement, and advise on key communication programs for a federal agency.
Join the Office of Facilities and Asset Management (OFAM) as a Communications Specialist, supporting a federal law enforcement agency. This role involves developing and executing strategic communications initiatives.
- *Key Responsibilities:**
- Plan, research, write, and edit internal and external publications, briefings, and tools for executives and employees.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate communication strategies and materials for Assistant/Deputy Assistant Commissioner stakeholder engagement.
- Analyze organizational policy issues to anticipate communication needs and stakeholder reactions (congressional, media, state, local, tribal).
- Advise on problem definitions, planning methodologies, policies, and procedures for the OFAM Communications Program.
- *Required Qualifications:**
- **Experience:** One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level, performing duties as outlined above. Your resume must clearly demonstrate this experience.
- **Federal Employees:** Must have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade (or equivalent) by 08/15/2025.
- **Residency:** Must have physically resided in the U.S. or its protectorates for at least three of the last five years. Exceptions may apply for government/military service or study abroad.
- **Background Investigation:** Successful completion of a thorough background investigation is required, consistent with a federal law enforcement agency.
- **Probationary Period:** New federal employees will serve a one-year probationary period.
- *Note:** Qualifying experience includes both paid and unpaid (volunteer) work.
