Job Description
Summary
Develop and manage strategic communications for external audiences, requiring specialized experience in product development and stakeholder engagement.
This role requires a skilled communications professional to manage and develop diverse communication products and strategies for external audiences within a federal law enforcement agency.
- *Key Responsibilities:**
- Review and refine various communication products, including briefing materials and responses to information requests.
- Prepare speakers for public engagements.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to develop effective communication techniques for policies, procedures, and statistical information tailored to external stakeholders.
- Contribute to the development, implementation, and evaluation of communication strategies and programs to enhance stakeholder engagement.
- Create diverse communication materials such as talking points, fact sheets, reports, official statements, press releases, and presentations.
- *Qualifications & Requirements:**
- **Experience:** Minimum of one year of specialized experience at the GS-11 grade level (or equivalent), performing duties similar to those outlined above. Your resume must explicitly detail how you meet this experience.
- **Federal Service:** Current federal employees must meet Time in Grade requirements (52 weeks at GS-11 or equivalent).
- **Residency:** Must have physically resided in the U.S. or its protectorates for at least three of the last five years. (Exceptions may apply for U.S. government-related overseas work).
- **Background Investigation:** Ability to pass a comprehensive background investigation, including inquiries into criminal history and drug use, as required for a federal law enforcement agency.
- **Probationary Period:** New federal employees will serve a one-year probationary period.
