Strategic Business Development Leader, Missile Defense, Dod

This role seeks a Strategic Business Development Leader with deep missile defense expertise to drive AWS cloud adoption within U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) missile defense programs. You will leverage your extensive experience to modernize and transform critical capabilities, serving as a key interface between AWS and the DoD missile defense community.

• *Key Responsibilities:**
• Serve as the primary Subject Matter Expert (SME) on missile defense systems, architectures, and programs to shape AWS solutions.
• Develop and execute comprehensive engagement strategies for missile defense programs, understanding DoD acquisition processes and mission requirements.
• Build and maintain trusted relationships with key stakeholders, including the Missile Defense Agency (MDA), Service Components, and prime contractors.
• Partner with AWS account teams to develop and validate technical solutions for missile defense use cases (e.g., command and control, sensor integration, data processing).
• Lead strategic initiatives with defense industry partners to integrate cloud and AI capabilities into missile defense architectures.
• Guide internal AWS teams (sales, engineering, solutions architecture) to ensure solutions meet unique missile defense program requirements.
• Represent AWS as a thought leader in the missile defense community, participating in relevant forums.
• *Basic Qualifications:**
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in missile defense, from military service, government civilian, or defense industry roles.
• 6+ years of professional or military experience.
• 6+ years of experience developing, negotiating, and executing business agreements.
• Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI.
• Demonstrated ability to interact with DoD senior leaders.
• Experience developing strategies that influence organizational-level leadership decisions.
• Experience managing programs across cross-functional teams.
• Experience in business development or program management.
• Familiarity with cloud technologies (AWS experience is a plus).

• Experience interpreting data and making business recommendations.
• Experience identifying, negotiating, and executing complex legal agreements.
• Expertise in DoD mission-specific use cases.
