Summary
Lead strategic business development, leveraging missile defense expertise to drive AWS cloud adoption within DoD programs.
The U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) team is seeking a Strategic Business Development Leader with deep missile defense expertise to drive AWS cloud adoption within DoD missile defense programs. You will play a critical role in modernizing and transforming vital missile defense capabilities for national and allied security.
- *Key Responsibilities:**
- Serve as the primary Subject Matter Expert (SME) on missile defense systems, architectures, and programs to shape AWS solutions.
- Develop and execute comprehensive engagement strategies for missile defense programs, leveraging DoD acquisition processes and mission requirements.
- Build trusted relationships with key stakeholders across the missile defense community, including the Missile Defense Agency, Service Components, and prime contractors.
- Partner with AWS account teams to develop and validate technical solutions for specific missile defense use cases (e.g., command and control, sensor integration, data processing).
- Lead strategic initiatives with defense industry partners to integrate cloud and Artificial Intelligence (AI) capabilities into missile defense architectures.
- Guide internal AWS teams (sales, engineering, solutions architecture) to ensure solutions meet the unique requirements of missile defense programs.
- Represent AWS as a thought leader in the missile defense community, influencing modernization efforts.
- *Basic Qualifications:**
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- 10+ years of experience in missile defense (military service, government civilian, or defense industry).
- 6+ years of professional or military experience, including developing, negotiating, and executing business agreements.
- Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI.
- Demonstrated ability to interact with DoD senior leaders.
- Experience in business development or program management.
- Experience developing strategies that influence organizational leadership decisions.
- Experience managing programs across cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with cloud technologies.
- *Preferred Qualifications:**
- Experience interpreting data and making business recommendations.
- Expertise in DoD mission-specific use cases.
- AWS experience.
- Experience identifying, negotiating, and executing complex legal agreements.
