Summary
AWS seeks a Solutions Architect to drive Public Sector cloud adoption by designing secure solutions and providing expert technical guidance.
Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a highly motivated Solutions Architect to accelerate cloud adoption within our growing Public Sector practice. You will empower customers to implement innovative cloud solutions, solve complex technical challenges, and ensure successful, secure migrations and deployments on the AWS platform.
- *Key Responsibilities:**
- Lead technical engagements for AWS implementation projects, providing architectural design and thought leadership.
- Deliver best practices for designing and creating robust, secure cloud computing architectures.
- Develop deep expertise in AWS technologies (e.g., EC2, S3, RDS, CloudFront) and their secure application.
- Act as a subject matter expert on security for customer applications and services on AWS.
- Capture and share technical best practices within the AWS Solutions Architect community.
- *Required Experience & Skills:**
- Proven ability to design and implement cloud computing architectures.
- Exceptional technical presentation skills for various audience sizes (whiteboard, small and large groups).
- Hands-on experience in designing, developing, deploying, or migrating solutions to cloud environments.
- Background in website/services operations, management, and security.
- Curiosity to continuously update technical skills and stay current with industry trends.
- *Basic Qualifications:**
- 8+ years in technology domains such as cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, or networking.
- 3+ years designing, implementing, or consulting on applications and infrastructures.
- 10+ years in IT development or implementation/consulting within the software or Internet industries.
- *Preferred Qualifications:**
- 5+ years of experience in infrastructure architecture, database architecture, or networking.
- Experience engaging with end-user or developer communities.
- *Additional Requirements:**
- Ability to travel up to 30%.
- **Must be a US Citizen** due to federal government contract requirements and ability to obtain and maintain necessary security clearance.
