Summary
Drive AWS adoption within Private Equity firms and their portfolio companies by building strategic relationships and influencing technology decisions.
This Business Development Manager role focuses on driving the adoption of Amazon Web Services (AWS) within the Private Equity (PE) community and their portfolio companies. You will manage key relationships, influence technology decisions, and expand AWS's market leadership in cloud computing.
- *Key Responsibilities:**
- Develop and execute strategies to build mind share and broad use of AWS within PE firms.
- Identify and engage target PE firms and their portfolio companies with infrastructure needs.
- Cultivate strong business, strategic, and technical relationships with PE stakeholders and portfolio companies.
- Collaborate closely with the AWS sales team to drive daily interactions and secure long-term business opportunities.
- Serve as a primary liaison between AWS and the PE community, gathering insights and representing AWS interests.
- Ensure portfolio companies successfully utilize AWS services, providing necessary technical resources and support.
- Prepare and present business reviews to senior management on progress, opportunities, and challenges.
- Manage a high volume of engagements in the fast-paced cloud computing market.
- *Basic Qualifications:**
- 5+ years of experience in developing, negotiating, and executing business agreements.
- 5+ years of professional or military experience.
- Bachelor's degree.
- Proven experience developing strategies that influence leadership decisions at an organizational level.
- Experience managing programs across cross-functional teams, including process building and coordinating schedules.
- Business-level technical understanding of core cloud computing concepts (e.g., database systems, distributed computing, virtualization, storage, CDNs).
- *Preferred Qualifications:**
- Experience interpreting data and formulating strategic business recommendations.
- Demonstrated ability to identify, negotiate, and execute complex legal agreements.
- Track record of owning and driving business outcomes through executive-level stakeholder relationships, with proven ability to influence strategic decision-making.
