Job Description

Summary

Manage and coordinate the planning, evaluation, and execution of building and facility projects.

We are seeking a Facilities Project Specialist to contribute to the lifecycle management of buildings and facilities. This role involves comprehensive engagement in the creation, construction, alteration, rehabilitation, or restoration of various projects.

  • *Key Responsibilities (Vary by GS Level):**
  • **GS-11:** Assist with planning, evaluating, coordinating, advising on, administering, and performing research for building and facility projects.
  • **GS-12:** Coordinate the planning, evaluating, advising on, administering, and performing research for building and facility projects.
  • **GS-13:** Lead and manage the planning, designing, evaluating, coordinating, advising on, administering, and performing research for building and facility projects.
  • *Qualification Requirements (Must be met by the closing date):**
  • *For GS-11 Level:**
  • **Option A:** One year of specialized experience (equivalent to GS-9 Federal service) demonstrating the ability to assist with facilities planning and project execution.
  • **Option B:** A Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree; or 3 years of progressively higher-level graduate education in a closely related field. (Transcripts required)
  • **Option C:** A combination of specialized experience and graduate education that totals at least 100%. (Transcripts required)
  • *For GS-12 Level:**
  • One year of specialized experience (equivalent to GS-11 Federal service) demonstrating the ability to coordinate facilities planning and project execution.
  • *For GS-13 Level:**
  • One year of specialized experience (equivalent to GS-12 Federal service) demonstrating the ability to lead and manage facilities planning and project execution.
  • *What is Specialized Experience?**
Experience involving the planning, evaluating, coordinating, advising on, administering, and performing research for the creation, construction, alteration, rehabilitation, or restoration of buildings and facilities.

  • *General Notes:**
  • Experience includes both paid and unpaid work, such as volunteer service.
  • If qualifying based on education, official transcripts must be submitted.
