## Solutions Architect, Public Sector
Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a highly motivated Solutions Architect to accelerate our growing Public Sector practice. In this role, you will serve as a trusted technical advisor, helping customers and AWS Partners design, implement, and migrate innovative cloud computing solutions.
### Key Responsibilities:
- Own technical engagements for specific implementation projects, providing best practices.
- Develop deep expertise in AWS technologies (e.g., EC2, S3, RDS, CloudFront) and how applications are built on the platform.
- Act as a subject matter expert on security related to customer applications and services.
- Provide exceptional technical design and thought leadership to help customers create cloud computing architectures.
- Lead efforts to capture and share best practices within the AWS Solution Architect community.
- Continuously update technical skills and monitor industry trends.
- 8+ years of experience in specific technology domains such as software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, or data & analytics.
- 3+ years of experience in designing, implementing, or consulting for applications and infrastructures.
- 10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting experience in the software or Internet industries.
- Associate's degree or higher, or relevant certifications (e.g., CASP+, CCSP, Cloud+, CSSLP).
- Demonstrated experience with technical presentations (whiteboard, small and large group).
- Experience designing, developing, deploying, and/or migrating to cloud environments.
- Experience with website/services operations, management, and security.
- 5+ years of experience in infrastructure architecture, database architecture, and networking.
- Knowledge of SAP systems (e.g., SAP Business Suite, S/4HANA, BW, HANA) and their architecture/infrastructure needs.
- Experience working with end-user or developer communities.
- Ability to travel 30%.
