Join Amazon Web Services (AWS) as a Solutions Architect within our growing Public Sector practice. You will empower customers to adopt innovative cloud computing solutions, solve complex technical challenges, and ensure successful project implementations on the AWS platform.
- *Key Responsibilities:**
- Lead technical engagements, providing best practices for specific implementation projects.
- Design and build robust cloud computing architectures for customers.
- Act as a subject matter expert on AWS technologies and security for applications and services.
- Deliver impactful technical presentations and provide thought leadership to diverse audiences.
- Collaborate and share best practices within the AWS Solutions Architect community.
- *Required Qualifications:**
- 8+ years experience in a specific technology domain (e.g., cloud computing, software development, systems engineering, security, networking, data & analytics).
- 10+ years IT development or implementation/consulting experience in software or Internet industries.
- 3+ years experience in designing, implementing, or consulting for applications and infrastructures.
- Associate's degree or relevant certification (e.g., CASP+, CCSP, Cloud+, CSSLP).
- Demonstrated experience in designing, developing, deploying, and/or migrating to cloud environments.
- Proven ability to deliver technical presentations to small and large groups.
- Familiarity with website/services operations, management, and security.
- Ability to travel 30%.
- *Preferred Qualifications:**
- 5+ years in infrastructure, database, and/or networking architecture experience.
- Knowledge of SAP systems (e.g., SAP Business Suite, S/4HANA) and their architecture/infrastructure needs.
- Experience working with end-user or developer communities.

AWS's virtual computers emulate most of the attributes of a real computer, including hardware central processing units (CPUs) and graphics processing units (GPUs) for processing; local/RAM memory; hard-disk (HDD)/SSD storage; a choice of operating systems; networking; and pre-loaded application software such as web servers, databases, and customer relationship management (CRM).
