Summary
AWS seeks a Solutions Architect to provide cloud architecture, security, and migration expertise to Public Sector customers.
Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a highly motivated **Solutions Architect** for our growing Public Sector practice. You will be instrumental in helping customers implement innovative cloud computing solutions, define application architectures, and ensure successful migrations to the AWS platform.
- *What You'll Do:**
- Lead technical engagements for specific implementation projects, providing expert guidance and best practices.
- Design and create robust cloud computing architectures using core AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, RDS, CloudFront).
- Serve as a subject matter expert on security best practices for customer applications and services on AWS.
- Collaborate with sales and business development teams to drive broad adoption of AWS utility computing web services.
- Capture and share technical best practices within the AWS Solutions Architect community.
- Continuously develop your technical skills and stay current with industry trends.
- *What You'll Bring (Required Qualifications):**
- 8+ years of experience in technology domains such as software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, or data & analytics.
- 10+ years of IT development, implementation, or consulting experience in software or Internet industries.
- 3+ years in designing, implementing, or consulting for applications and infrastructures.
- Associate's degree or higher, or professional certifications like CASP+, CCSP, Cloud+, or CSSLP.
- Demonstrated experience with technical presentations to small and large groups.
- Hands-on experience in designing, developing, deploying, and/or migrating to cloud environments.
- Experience with website/services operations, management, and security.
- *Even Better If You Have (Preferred Qualifications):**
- 5+ years of experience in infrastructure architecture, database architecture, and networking.
- Knowledge of SAP systems (e.g., Business Suite, S/4HANA) and their architecture/infrastructure requirements.
- Experience working with end-user or developer communities.
- *Travel:** This role requires the ability to travel 30%.
