Summary

Seeking a Senior UI/UX Designer to lead user-centered design for web/mobile applications supporting a Federal agency.

CGS is seeking an experienced Senior UI/UX Designer to lead design initiatives for a large Federal agency.

  • *Key Responsibilities:**
  • Lead full-scale UX design efforts, including research, blueprinting, and system evaluation.
  • Manage planning, design, and implementation of multiple sites and applications simultaneously.
  • Conduct all phases of user research and analysis to inform highly usable web and application interfaces.
  • Collaborate with engineers and clients to define, design, and implement intuitive, innovative solutions.
  • Create wireframes, storyboards, and site maps to communicate design ideas.
  • Develop scalable design resources for project collaboration.
  • *Required Qualifications:**
  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
  • 10+ years of combined professional UI/UX design (UCD) experience.
  • Strong online portfolio showcasing research-driven, responsive web and mobile application designs.
  • Expertise in user research methodologies, user-centered design principles, and UI design standards.
  • Advanced understanding of user personas, user flows, and affinity mapping.
  • Strong grasp of the website development lifecycle.
  • Experience evaluating existing systems to identify and resolve UX issues.
  • Proficiency in designing 508 and US Web Design System (USWDS) compliant web and mobile applications.
  • Experience prioritizing features based on user goals and business requirements.
  • Ability to carry designs from wireframes to high-fidelity UI mockups.
  • Experience establishing rapid customer feedback loops.
  • Self-starter with ability to work independently and in teams.
  • Proven success in designing new platforms and redesigning existing ones.
  • Experience mentoring/leading junior designers.
  • Advanced coding knowledge (HTML, CSS, JS).
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe XD, InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
  • *Preferred Qualifications:**
  • Excellent interpersonal and client-focused skills.
  • Experience with Agile methodology.
  • Experience creating and modifying data visualizations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
