Summary
Senior UI Engineer to design, build, and lead high-performance, scalable platforms, driving GEICO's tech transformation.
GEICO is seeking an experienced Senior UI Engineer passionate about building high-performance, low-maintenance, zero-downtime platforms and applications. Join our Claims Engineering team to drive business transformation from a traditional IT model to an engineering-focused organization.
- *Key Responsibilities:**
- Design and build scalable, resilient distributed systems and data-driven RESTful APIs.
- Lead technical solutions from product definition through the software lifecycle.
- Engage in cross-functional collaboration, leading design sessions and code reviews.
- Define, create, and support reusable application components and patterns.
- Mentor engineers and promote best practices across teams.
- Ensure 24x7 operations and stability with a focus on user experience.
- *Technology Stack Includes:**
- **Languages & Frameworks:** Flutter, Dart, TypeScript, ReactJS, HTML, CSS
- **Databases:** SQL, NoSQL
- **Cloud & Orchestration:** Docker, Kubernetes, Azure
- **APIs & Protocols:** REST, SOAP, GraphQL, Pub-Sub
- *Qualifications:**
- Advanced programming experience with 2+ modern languages (e.g., Dart, JavaScript, TypeScript).
- In-depth knowledge of CS data structures and algorithms.
- Experience contributing to architecture and design (patterns, reliability, scaling).
- Strong skills in micro-services, micro-frontend architecture, and extensible REST APIs.
- Understanding of security protocols (e.g., Active Directory, SAML, OAuth).
- Knowledge of developer tooling across the SDLC and DevOps concepts (Cloud Architecture, Azure DevOps).
- Strong problem-solving, analysis, estimation, and communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- *Required Experience:**
- 4+ years professional software development (Mobile & Web frameworks/SDKs/languages).
- 3+ years architecture and design experience.
- 3+ years experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, or similar cloud services.
- 2+ years experience in open-source frameworks.
- *Education:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent work experience.
- *Salary:**
- $105,000 - $215,000 annually, based on experience, education, and market factors.
