Job Description

Summary

Manage and secure Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) programs and facilities, ensuring compliance and advising federal leadership.

This federal position focuses on safeguarding Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) and Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) programs and facilities.

  • *Key Responsibilities:**
  • Develop, interpret, and implement SCI security policies and procedures based on current legislation and agency guidance.
  • Provide expert technical support and advice to management on all aspects of SCI security programs and facility integrity.
  • Oversee and maintain SCI/TS/SCI facilities and equipment, ensuring strict compliance with federal security policies and regulations.
  • Coordinate and implement research and analysis to support the full lifecycle functions of security programs.
  • Conduct SCI security briefings, debriefings, and assist with official inquiries regarding security incidents.
  • Manage SCI administrative actions, evaluate the impact of revised security regulations, and contribute to strategic security planning.
  • Serve as a primary security advisor to leadership and other federal agencies on security planning, resource allocation, and system security.
  • *Qualifications:**
  • **Experience:**
* **GS-12:** One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level, demonstrating proficiency in policy interpretation, program development, technical support, and oversight of SCI operations and facilities. * **GS-13:** One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level, including proficient SCI briefings, managing administrative actions, expert security advising to leadership, and program coordination for SCI facilities. * *Your resume must clearly demonstrate how you meet these specific experience requirements.*
  • **Background Investigation:** Successful completion of a thorough U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) background investigation is mandatory.
  • **Residency:** Applicants not currently employed by CBP must have physically resided in the United States or its protectorates for at least three of the last five years. Specific exceptions may apply for U.S. government-related work abroad.
  • **Probationary Period:** New federal government employees will serve a one-year probationary period.
