Security Specialist

We are seeking highly qualified candidates for a Security Systems Technical Specialist position, available at both the GS-11 and GS-12 grade levels.

• *Core Responsibilities (May include):**
• Deploy and operate state-of-the-art security equipment and systems.
• Analyze foreign inspection equipment using advanced technologies and methodologies.
• Provide technical expertise on equipment inspection procedures and policy.
• Participate in working groups to develop solutions for treaty-related security challenges.
• Monitor and manage the security, radiation, and safety of chemical agents.
• Create innovative technology-centric security equipment and methods to solve complex problems (specific to GS-12).
• *GS-11 Qualification Requirements:**
• **Experience:** One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 level, performing duties such as deploying security equipment, analyzing foreign inspection systems, providing technical expertise on inspection procedures, contributing to treaty-related problem-solving, and monitoring chemical agent safety; or
• **Education:** A Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree, or 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education in a relevant field (transcripts required); or
• **Combination:** A combination of specialized experience and graduate education that collectively meets 100% of the qualification requirements.
• *GS-12 Qualification Requirements:**
• **Experience:** One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level, performing duties such as operating state-of-the-art security systems, creating innovative security technologies for treaty issues, and managing the security, radiation, and safety of chemical agents.
• All qualifying experience, including volunteer work (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps), will be considered.*
