## Security Specialist (GS-12)
Join our team as a Security Specialist, responsible for managing critical security programs within a federal agency.
### Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, schedule, coordinate, and execute comprehensive personnel, physical, communications, and operational security programs.
- Make technical judgments regarding the interpretation and implementation of existing security policies.
- Advise, assist, and guide supervisors, managers, and employees on complex and sensitive security issues.
- Prepare and submit regular reports.
- **Experience:** One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level, performing duties as outlined in the responsibilities above. Volunteer experience is considered.
- **Assessment:** Successfully complete an online USA Hire Assessment and meet or exceed the required cut score.
- **Background Investigation:** Pass a thorough background investigation conducted by U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), which includes questions regarding felony convictions, drug use, and controlled substances.
- **Residency:** Must have physically resided in the United States or its protectorates for at least three of the last five years. Exceptions may apply for U.S. government-related overseas work or study.
- New federal employees will serve a one-year probationary period.
