Join AWS as a Sales Compensation Systems Analyst to administer Varicent, optimize sales commission processes, and ensure accurate global payouts.
Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Sales Compensation Systems Analyst for the Global Sales Compensation (GSC) Operations team. This role is crucial for supporting the global administration of our sales compensation system, Varicent ICM, ensuring accurate and timely payouts for sales incentive-eligible employees.
As a Sales Compensation Systems Analyst, you will drive operational process improvements, enhance program scalability, and collaborate across various global teams including HR, Legal, Sales, and Finance to ensure proper plan design, calculation, and execution of sales commissions.
- *Key Responsibilities:**
- Administer the Varicent ICM sales compensation system daily.
- Validate data, quantify impacts, and communicate resolutions.
- Identify operational risks and engage stakeholders for issue resolution.
- Communicate technical issues and business requirements effectively.
- Conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for system and process updates.
- Assist with incentive compensation plan distribution, including setup, quota shifts, and revenue adjustments.
- Ensure adherence to compensation methodologies, policies, procedures, and governance.
- Collaborate with HR, Tax, and Legal to maintain compensation policies.
- Support the global quarterly commission payout process, including manual adjustments and approvals.
- Develop mechanisms to improve process efficiency.
- *Basic Qualifications:**
- 5+ years of Microsoft Excel experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with sales CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce).
- Experience defining, refining, and implementing sales processes, procedures, and policies.
- Prior sales compensation experience.
- Experience with sales Incentive Compensation Management (ICM) tools (e.g., Varicent, Xactly).
- *Preferred Qualifications:**
- 5+ years of finance, business management, and sales operations experience.
- Experience working within a high-growth, technology company.
- Strong SQL skills.
