Job Description
Summary
Oversee and enhance internal controls, compliance, and program management for government operations.
This role involves applying expertise in program internal controls and ensuring compliance within government or private sector operations. You will be responsible for developing procedures, analyzing effectiveness, and managing complex initiatives.
- *Key Responsibilities:**
- Apply knowledge of internal controls policies, standards, and practices.
- Develop and document control procedures and policies.
- Analyze control design effectiveness and recommend improvements for policies, procedures, and resources.
- Plan, organize, and monitor progress of complex, long-term initiatives to ensure objectives are met.
- *Requirements:**
- **Experience:** 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 federal grade level, performing related duties.
- **Residency:** Must have physically resided in the U.S. or its protectorates for at least three of the last five years. Waivers may be available for specific circumstances (e.g., U.S. government employment).
- **Background Investigation:** Successful completion of a thorough background investigation by U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP).
- **Probationary Period:** New federal employees will serve a one-year probationary period.
- **Time in Grade:** Current federal employees must meet Time in Grade requirements by 11/25/2025.
