Summary
Communications expert needed to develop media content, manage relations, and convey complex information to the public.
This role is for a Communications and Media Relations professional responsible for developing and disseminating information to public audiences and managing key relationships.
- *Key Responsibilities:**
- Prepare diverse communication products, including news articles, talking points, and fact sheets.
- Manage and foster relationships with media professionals, government public affairs offices, and internal/external stakeholders.
- Clearly communicate complex or policy-level topics in response to media inquiries and public interest.
- Develop and provide guidance on media products and communication strategies.
- *Required Qualifications & Experience:**
- **For GS-12:** One year of specialized experience (equivalent to GS-11) preparing communications, managing media relations, and communicating complex topics publicly.
- **For GS-13:** One year of specialized experience (equivalent to GS-12) developing media guidance, fostering high-level stakeholder relationships, and providing information on national or policy issues.
- All qualifying experience, including volunteer work, will be credited.
- Qualifications must be met by the closing date of the announcement.
