Summary

Lead multi-phase engineering projects, managing designs, operations, and budgets at a GS-14 level.

We are seeking a highly experienced Engineering Professional to oversee complex, multi-phase engineering projects and programs. This role involves critical technical review, strategic financial management, and program guidance at a senior level.

  • *Key Responsibilities:**
  • Oversee and manage multi-phase engineering projects and programs.
  • Review and approve technical design plans, schematics, and construction project sketches.
  • Develop and prepare operational and maintenance specifications guides for ongoing program management.
  • Manage project budgets and costs associated with various engineering initiatives.
  • *Minimum Qualifications (GS-14):**
To qualify for the GS-14 level (starting salary $142,488.00), you must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level, performing duties similar to those listed above.

  • *Basic Requirements (All Applicants):**

Candidates must meet **ONE** of the following engineering qualifications:

  • **Education:** A Bachelor's degree in Engineering from a school with at least one ABET-accredited program.
* *or* A Bachelor's degree including differential/integral calculus and advanced courses in five of seven specific engineering science/physics areas (e.g., statics, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, electrical fields).
  • **Combination of Education & Experience:** College-level education and technical experience demonstrating thorough knowledge of engineering principles. This must be evidenced by **ONE** of the following:
* Current professional registration (Engineer Intern, Engineer in Training, or Professional Engineer) in any U.S. state or territory. * Successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) examination. * At least 60 semester hours of courses in physical, mathematical, and engineering sciences, fully acceptable towards an engineering program. * A Bachelor's degree in a related scientific field (e.g., engineering technology, physics, computer science, mathematics) combined with at least one year of professional engineering experience acquired under supervision.

  • Note: All qualifying experience, including volunteer work, will be credited.*
