Summary
Seeking an experienced professional to manage and oversee trade CBP programs, projects, and strategic administrative activities.
We are seeking a seasoned professional to manage and oversee critical trade programs within U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP).
- *Key Responsibilities:**
- Oversee a segment of the National Trade Center (NTC) program, including project management.
- Manage administrative activities related to CBP trade management, planning, and project control.
- Lead the development and execution of goals for subordinate units.
- Review and coordinate reports and multi-year work plans to achieve organizational objectives.
- Collaborate with CBP stakeholders to implement program changes and develop long-range plans.
- *Qualifications & Requirements:**
- **Experience:** One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 federal grade level, performing duties similar to those listed above. Volunteer experience counts towards this requirement.
- **Federal Employees:** Must have served 52 weeks at the GS-12 or equivalent grade by 08/14/2025.
- **Background Investigation:** Successful completion of a thorough background investigation is mandatory due to the law enforcement nature of CBP. This includes questions regarding criminal history and illegal drug use.
- **Residency:** Must have physically resided in the U.S. or its protectorates for at least three of the last five years, unless an exception applies (e.g., U.S. government service abroad).
- **Probationary Period:** New federal employees must complete a one-year probationary period.
