U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) seeks a qualified professional for a GS-12 level position, involving critical program management, expert advisory, and national security data responsibilities.

  • *Core Responsibilities:**
  • Manage professional, technical, or administrative programs with local impact.
  • Provide expert guidance on program issues to agency officials.
  • Review, analyze, and disseminate sensitive national security data.
  • Act as a liaison with high-ranking officials across federal agencies.
  • *Required Qualifications:**
  • **Experience:** One year of specialized experience at the GS-11 level, performing duties similar to those listed above. Your resume must explicitly demonstrate this experience.
  • **Federal Employees:** Must have served 52 weeks at the GS-11 grade level (or equivalent) by October 29, 2025.
  • **Background Investigation:** Ability to pass a comprehensive background investigation by CBP, including scrutiny of criminal history and drug use.
  • **Residency:** Physically resided in the U.S. or its protectorates for at least three of the last five years. Waivers may be considered for specific U.S. government-related service, dependents, or study abroad.
  • **Probationary Period:** New federal employees will complete a one-year probationary period.
  • **Qualifying Experience:** Paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work, is credited towards qualifications.
