Job Description
Lead federal programs and projects, drive process improvements, and provide expert strategic oversight within a law enforcement agency.
This senior-level role seeks a highly experienced professional to lead and manage critical program initiatives. You will be instrumental in overseeing all phases of program development and execution within a federal law enforcement agency environment.
**Key Responsibilities:**
* Lead the overall planning, direction, and timely execution of program activities.
* Drive project management, team building, facilitation, and process improvement efforts.
* Implement quantitative and qualitative methods for data analysis and reporting.
* Identify and resolve complex issues where no established policies exist, proposing innovative solutions.
* Serve as a project leader and Subject Matter Expert (SME) for assigned program segments and projects.
**Required Qualifications:**
* Minimum of one year of specialized experience equivalent to a senior federal position (GS-13 or similar level).
* Experience must demonstrate proficiency in the core responsibilities listed above.
* Relevant paid and qualifying volunteer experience will be considered.

**Additional Requirements:**
* Successful completion of a comprehensive background investigation, including inquiries into criminal history and drug use. (U.S. Customs and Border Protection is a federal law enforcement agency).
* For applicants not currently employed by CBP, a U.S. residency requirement applies: physical presence in the U.S. or its protectorates for at least three of the last five years. Specific exceptions may apply for those with U.S. government-related work or study abroad.
* New federal employees are typically required to serve a one-year probationary period.
