Summary
Manage diverse program segments, financial operations, and stakeholder relations for a federal law enforcement agency.
U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) is seeking a skilled Program Management Specialist (GS-13) to oversee critical program segments and provide strategic guidance. This role involves managing diverse operational and administrative functions, ensuring organizational effectiveness, and acting as a key liaison with high-level officials.
- *Key Responsibilities:**
- Oversee program segments encompassing professional, technical, and administrative work.
- Manage programming, financial management, budget planning, project control, purchasing, logistics, security, personnel management, and information technology support services.
- Advise on the planning, development, and integration of organizational capabilities from an overall program management perspective.
- Review reports and studies, ensuring timely resolution of complex or controversial situations.
- Serve as a primary liaison with high-ranking officials across federal agencies, departmental leadership, and various governing boards/committees.
- *Required Qualifications:**
- **Experience:** Possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level, performing duties such as those listed above. Volunteer experience is recognized.
- **Federal Employees:** Must meet all applicable Time-in-Grade requirements (52 weeks at the next lower grade or equivalent) by November 7, 2025.
- **Background Investigation:** Ability to pass a thorough background investigation conducted by a federal law enforcement agency.
- **Residency:** If not currently employed by CBP, must have physically resided in the U.S. or its protectorates for at least three of the last five years (exceptions may apply).
- **Probationary Period:** New federal employees will serve a one-year probationary period.
