Federal Program Specialist sought to plan, optimize, and evaluate programs, requiring GS-12 equivalent experience and U.S. citizenship.
U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) is seeking a skilled Program Analyst/Specialist to oversee, optimize, and evaluate critical program activities. This role requires a professional capable of strategic planning, contract coordination, and problem-solving to ensure program effectiveness.
- *Key Responsibilities:**
- Plan, organize, coordinate, control, and evaluate program activities.
- Coordinate contracts with various executing agencies.
- Utilize qualitative and quantitative methods to enhance program effectiveness.
- Identify and resolve complex issues impacting program success.
- Provide strategic advice and recommendations to management.
- *Qualifications:**
- **Experience:** One year of specialized experience at a level equivalent to the GS-12 federal grade, demonstrating proficiency in program planning, coordination, evaluation, contract management, problem-solving, and providing management advice. (Qualifying volunteer experience is considered.)
- **U.S. Citizenship:** Required.
- **Background Investigation:** Ability to pass a thorough background check, which includes review of criminal history and drug use, as required by a federal law enforcement agency.
- **Residency:** Must have physically resided in the United States or its protectorates for at least three of the last five years. (Exceptions apply for U.S. government service or U.S.-sponsored study abroad programs.)
- **Probationary Period:** New federal government employees are subject to a one-year probationary period.
- **Time in Grade:** (For current federal employees) Must meet applicable Time in Grade requirements by the specified deadline.
