Job Description
Shape national security, nuclear, and arctic policies for DoD/DoN through coordination, advice, and clear communication.
This role involves contributing to national security policy development and execution within the Department of Defense and Department of the Navy, with a focus on strategic guidance, nuclear, and arctic policies. We are seeking qualified candidates at both GS-14 and GS-13 levels.
**Key Responsibilities (Both Levels):**
* Provide expert advice and counsel on planning, programming, and policy, specifically concerning Nuclear and Arctic policy.
* Draft and prepare policy memoranda and other essential correspondence on National Security policies impacting the Department of the Navy.
**Experience Requirements:**
**GS-14 Level:**
* Minimum one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level (Federal service) or comparable experience in the private/public sector.
* Demonstrated experience coordinating the development and execution of policies and plans related to Department of Defense Strategic guidance.
**GS-13 Level:**
* Minimum one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level (Federal service) or comparable experience in the private/public sector.
* Experience coordinating the development and execution of policies and plans related to Department of Defense Strategic guidance, with general guidance from a supervisor.
