Lead Gen AI-powered learning experience design for AWS Training and Certification, driving innovative UX from strategy to execution.
AWS Training and Certification is seeking a Principal UX Designer to lead the creation of state-of-the-art, Gen AI-powered learning experiences. This role focuses on transforming learning across digital, instructor-led, and immersive modalities for a diverse global audience.
- *Key Responsibilities:**
- Lead the design, prototyping, and delivery of delightful and transformative user experiences.
- Drive design strategy from high-level concepts to pixel-level execution, iterating rapidly based on customer feedback.
- Operate effectively in a dynamic, start-up-like environment, navigating ambiguity to deliver high-quality, real-world solutions.
- Apply deep knowledge of generative AI to shape the next wave of agentic and creative-focused learning solutions.
- *Basic Qualifications:**
- 10+ years of professional design experience.
- Proven experience with full lifecycle design projects, from strategy through execution.
- Expertise in User Interface Design, Information Architecture, and Interaction Design best practices.
- Proficiency with creative production tools (e.g., Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, motion or 3D tools).
- Experience designing tools or systems that incorporate AI/ML.
- Deep familiarity with generative AI concepts.
- Exposure to agentic systems, conversational interfaces, or LLM-powered workflows.
- Experience prototyping with front-end technologies (HTML/CSS/JavaScript or similar).
- *Preferred Qualifications:**
- Experience providing and effectively communicating data-driven strategic and tactical design recommendations.
- Experience designing large-scale systems and applications.
- A strong portfolio demonstrating exceptional design thinking, polished interface craftsmanship, and impactful prototypes.
- Familiarity with responsible AI principles, including safety, fairness, and transparency.
- Excellent collaboration, storytelling, and communication skills, with the ability to influence diverse stakeholders.
