Principal UX Designer needed to strategize and deliver cutting-edge, Gen AI-powered learning experiences for AWS Training & Certification.
AWS Training and Certification is seeking a visionary Principal UX Designer to lead the creation of state-of-the-art, Gen AI-powered learning experiences. This role involves transforming digital, instructor-led, and immersive modalities for a diverse global audience, influencing org-level strategy and driving a long-term UX vision.
- *Key Responsibilities:**
- Drive org-level strategy, defining a long-term UX vision and fostering strategic alignment across partner teams.
- Solve complex design and technical challenges, leveraging deep understanding of tech systems and dependencies.
- Translate learner feedback into customer-obsessed, high-quality, and accessible experiences.
- Define scalable design mechanisms and best practices for the team.
- Shape the next generation of agentic, creative-focused solutions using your generative AI expertise.
- *Basic Qualifications:**
- 10+ years of professional design experience.
- Proven experience in full lifecycle design projects, from strategy to execution.
- Expertise in User Interface (UI), Information Architecture (IA), and Interaction Design (IXD) best practices.
- Proficiency with creative production tools (e.g., Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, motion/3D tools).
- Experience designing systems and tools incorporating AI/Machine Learning.
- Deep curiosity and familiarity with generative AI concepts and applications.
- Exposure to agentic systems, conversational interfaces, or LLM-powered workflows.
- Experience prototyping with front-end technologies (e.g., HTML/CSS/JavaScript).
- *Preferred Qualifications:**
- Demonstrated ability to provide and effectively communicate strategic and tactical recommendations based on data.
- Experience designing large-scale systems and complex applications.
- A compelling portfolio showcasing exceptional design thinking, polished interface craftsmanship, and impactful prototypes.
- Familiarity with responsible AI principles, including safety, fairness, and transparency.
- Excellent collaboration, storytelling, and communication skills to influence diverse stakeholders.
