Summary
Senior Medical Officer to lead clinical policy, training, and patient care standards for health services oversight.
This role supports the Clinical Services Division, contributing to the strategic development, oversight, and continuous improvement of patient care systems. The position requires a medical professional with strong leadership and advisory skills, capable of driving clinical excellence and operational efficiency.
- *Key Responsibilities:**
- Drive strategic initiatives and objectives for clinical services, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Assess and validate patient care delivery systems, recommending improvements for both clinical and administrative operations.
- Establish and maintain evidence-based clinical and staffing standards, participating in the development and revision of Clinical Practice Guidelines.
- Plan, direct, coordinate, and evaluate clinical services policy, guidance, and training programs.
- Provide continuing medical education (CME) and comprehensive training for clinical and support staff.
- Actively participate in and lead various committees and clinical projects.
- Assist with physician recruitment, orientation, mentoring, and peer reviews.
- Serve as a professional advisor, offering technical assistance and guidance on all aspects of medical practice.
- Conduct and assist with quality of care investigations and assessments.
- *Requirements & Qualifications:**
- Proven medical expertise with a strong focus on clinical services development and oversight.
- Ability to communicate complex information effectively, requiring tact and diplomacy.
- Experience in policy formulation, program evaluation, and staff training.
- Demonstrated capacity to achieve medical goals and objectives.
- *Physical Demands:**
- Ability to lift objects exceeding 30 pounds.
- Perform CPR and emergency care, which may require standing or kneeling.
- Capacity to assist sick, injured, or aging individuals (potentially requiring lifting, dragging, or carrying).
- May involve running short distances, prolonged standing, and working in austere environments.
- Extended periods of sitting and/or standing (6-8 hours) are common.
- Average manual dexterity for computer and phone operation.
