## Project Leader & Technical Expert (GS-14)

Join U.S. Customs and Border Protection as a key Project Leader and Subject-Matter Expert. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional ready to lead complex technical projects and contribute to national security initiatives.

### Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as Project Leader and Subject-Matter Expert for large, complex, multi-year, and unique technical projects.
  • Conduct analytical and evaluative work, including developing schedules, project plans, budgets, and execution documentation.
  • Represent the agency at interagency working groups on matters related to advanced technology systems and equipment.
  • Evaluate policies and procedures pertaining to assigned projects for efficiency and compliance.
### Qualifications:
  • **Education:** A degree in Physical Science, Engineering, or Mathematics, which includes at least 24 semester hours in physical science and/or related engineering science. An equivalent combination of education and specialized experience is also accepted.
  • **Experience:** At least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level, demonstrating proficiency in the core responsibilities listed above.
  • **Federal Requirements:**
* Successful completion of a thorough background investigation by U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP). * U.S. residency for at least three of the last five years (exceptions may apply for U.S. government-related work or study abroad). * Meet all applicable federal Time in Grade requirements. * New federal employees will serve a one-year probationary period.
