## Operations Research Analyst - GS-13/14
- *Overview:**
- *Responsibilities (Vary by Grade Level):**
- Manage and coordinate cross-functional analytics projects.
- Develop and implement new analytical procedures, techniques, and theories.
- Establish quantitative relationships between investments/costs and performance outputs.
- Evaluate data and integrate results into comprehensive recommendations and reports.
- Develop statistical and descriptive analytic products to support senior leadership decisions.
- Communicate analytical findings effectively to senior management and non-technical stakeholders through reports, presentations, and data visualizations.
- Apply research, statistical, and mathematical methodologies to identify issues, propose corrective actions, and implement solutions.
- Formulate, justify, and present project proposals.
- *Required Qualifications:**
- *Education:**
- A degree in operations research; or
- At least 24 semester hours in a combination of operations research, mathematics, probability, statistics, mathematical logic, science, or related courses requiring substantial college-level mathematics or statistics.
- At least 3 of the 24 semester hours must have been in calculus.
- *Experience:**
- **GS-13 Level:** One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level, performing duties similar to those listed in the responsibilities section.
- **GS-14 Level:** One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level, performing duties similar to those listed in the responsibilities section, with a focus on communicating findings to senior leadership and advanced methodological application.
- *Additional Requirements:**
- Must undergo a thorough background investigation.
- **U.S. Residency:** Required to have physically resided in the United States or its protectorates for at least three of the last five years, with exceptions for U.S. government/military service abroad.
- **Probationary Period:** New federal employees must complete a one-year probationary period.
