Multimedia Content Manager

FOX 5 DC / FOX 5 Plus, a leading multimedia newsroom within Fox Television Stations, seeks an experienced and competitive Multimedia Content Manager. Join our innovative team in state-of-the-art Bethesda studios, dedicated to delivering extensive local news across broadcast, digital, and streaming platforms. This is a full-time, weekend-focused position requiring flexibility for a 24/7 news operation.

• *The Role:**

Lead and coach a highly skilled news team to ensure engaging, high-quality content reaches our audience across all platforms. Uphold brand standards by delivering informative, captivating, and flawless content daily.

• *Key Responsibilities:**
• Manage daily editorial workflow, assigning multimedia journalists, photojournalists, and digital producers.
• Supervise and schedule assignment desk staff.
• Review and approve content (scripts, digital) for all platforms.
• Manage live streams across multiple platforms as needed.
• Ensure operational compliance with federal, state, and local laws.
• Assist editorial staff in developing news coverage plans.
• Collaborate with executive producers on content distribution.
• Conduct performance evaluations for direct reports.
• Proficiently post content to station websites.
• *What You'll Bring:**
• Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline preferred, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in a media environment.
• Minimum 3 years in a managerial or leadership role.
• Proven leadership skills: ability to coach, mentor, empower, foster open dialogue, and address conflict.
• Advanced oral and written communication skills.
• Strong understanding of journalistic ethics, accuracy, and storytelling.
• Advanced computer skills, including cloud services/applications, and broad knowledge of newsroom operations and equipment.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple tasks, and make sound decisions.
• Flexibility to work evenings, early mornings, weekends, holidays, and during breaking news.
• *Compensation & Benefits:**
• Annual Salary: $110,000 - $140,000.
